This work without title by Ernie Barnes was auctioned at Phillips in New York in November this year. It achieved a price of USD 215,900.00 (€ 197,928.13), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 44%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ernie Barnes achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Sugar Shack in May last year with an auction result of USD 15,275,000.00 (€ 14,234,460.91).

Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Ernie Barnes kam im November diesen Jahres bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 215.900,00 (€ 197.928,13) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 44%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ernie Barnes erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Sugar Shack im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 15.275.000,00 (€ 14.234.460,91).
