In June 2019 Christies in New York held the auction Interiors: Fine Art Online, which included the work Walking Figure #2 by Ernest Tino Trova. The »bidding war« ended at USD 11,250.00 (€ 9,954.87), 41% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Ernest Tino Trova have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Study/Falling Man (Wheelman) in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 75,000.00 (€ 67,270.61).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 41 % übertroffen
Im Juni 2019 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Interiors: Fine Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Walking Figure #2 von Ernest Tino Trova zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 11.250,00 (€ 9.954,87) und damit 41% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ernest Tino Trova auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Study/Falling Man (Wheelman) im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 75.000,00 (€ 67.270,61).
