It achieved a price of GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,362.33), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 25%. Admittedly, works by Ernest Pignon-Ernest have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work David Et Goliath, 1990 in February 2014 with an auction result of EUR 26,000.00.

Die Arbeit Composition No 70 (cabine téléphonique) (Composition No. 70 (Telephone Booth)); Composition No 70 bis (cabine téléphonique) (Composition No. 70 bis (Telephone Booth)) von Ernest Pignon-Ernest kam im April 2019 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 3.750,00 (€ 4.362,33) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 25%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ernest Pignon-Ernest auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit David Et Goliath, 1990 im Februar 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 26.000,00.
