Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Pottery Of The Past by Ernest Martin Hennings was sold in the American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture auction at Sothebys in New York in December 2009. The price achieved of USD 80,500.00 (€ 56,168.02) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 70,000.00 – 90,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ernest Martin Hennings achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Indian Summer in November 2007 with an auction result of USD 1,553,000.00 (€ 1,057,325.71).
