Auction result misses estimated price range
In May 2017 a collector was able to acquire the work Manvelita Mending Shawl by Ernest Martin Hennings for USD 25,000.00 (€ 22,249.91). This price was achieved in the auction American Art at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ernest Martin Hennings achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Indian Summer in November 2007 with an auction result of USD 1,553,000.00 (€ 1,057,325.71).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai 2017 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Manvelita Mending Shawl von Ernest Martin Hennings für USD 25.000,00 (€ 22.249,91) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion American Art bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ernest Martin Hennings erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Indian Summer im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.553.000,00 (€ 1.057.325,71).
