Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Notre Dame De La Joie, Saint-Guénolé, Penmarc'H, Bretagne by Ernest Pierre Guérin was auctioned at Artcurial in Paris in June 2018, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 15,000.00 – 20,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 14,200.00. Other works by Ernest Pierre Guérin have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in March last year by the work Jour de fête à Notre Dame de la Joie the central panel 50.5 x 63.2cm (19 7/8 x 24 7/8in), the two side panels 50.5 x 22.6cm (19 7/8 x 8 7/8in) (framed as triptych). at GBP 15,250.00 (€ 18,080.59).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Notre Dame De La Joie, Saint-Guénolé, Penmarc'H, Bretagne von Ernest Pierre Guérin im Juni 2018 bei Artcurial in Paris versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 14.200,00 den Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Ernest Pierre Guérin wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im März letzten Jahres die Arbeit Jour de fête à Notre Dame de la Joie the central panel 50.5 x 63.2cm (19 7/8 x 24 7/8in), the two side panels 50.5 x 22.6cm (19 7/8 x 8 7/8in) (framed as triptych). mit GBP 15.250,00 (€ 18.080,59).
