In July 2010 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work The cavalry charge by Ernest Crofts. The auction ended at the price of GBP 1,500.00 (€ 1,803.58), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ernest Crofts achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Whitehall: January 30th, 1649 in February 2003 with an auction result of GBP 47,800.00 (€ 69,786.49).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im Juli 2010 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit The cavalry charge von Ernest Crofts zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 1.500,00 (€ 1.803,58) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ernest Crofts erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Whitehall: January 30th, 1649 im Februar 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 47.800,00 (€ 69.786,49).
