It achieved a price of USD 112,500.00 (€ 106,352.81), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 41%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ernest Charton - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Panorama of the City of Valparaíso, Chile, which sold at auction in October 2015 for GBP 206,500.00 (€ 288,841.92).

Für andere Arbeiten von Ernest Charton mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Panorama of the City of Valparaíso, Chile beobachtet, die im Oktober 2015 für GBP 206.500,00 (€ 288.841,92) versteigert wurde.
