In the Latin America: Modern Art auction, the work View Of Chorrillos, Peru sold for USD 225,000.00 (€ 189,107.41) - well above the upper estimate of USD 120,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Ernest Charton; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Panorama of the City of Valparaíso, Chile sold at auction in October 2015 with the realized price of GBP 206,500.00 (€ 288,841.92).
