Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Porträtt av Mats B. by Erland Cullberg was auctioned at Bukowski in Stockholm in October 2009, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of SEK 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for SEK 4,500.00 (€ 432.46). Admittedly, works by Erland Cullberg have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in May 2013 with an auction result of SEK 36,000.00 (€ 4,185.40).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Porträtt av Mats B. von Erland Cullberg im Oktober 2009 bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von SEK 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für SEK 4.500,00 (€ 432,46) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Erland Cullberg auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SEK 36.000,00 (€ 4.185,40).
