Auction result well in line with expectations
The work WOKE by Erik Parker was sold in the 20th Century & Contemporary Art & Design Day Sale auction at Phillips in Hong Kong in June last year. It changed hands for a price of HKD 113,400.00 (€ 13,799.94) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Erik Parker achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Big Time in May last year with an auction result of HKD 3,654,000.00 (€ 433,808.22).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit WOKE von Erik Parker wurde im Juni letzten Jahres in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art & Design Day Sale bei Phillips in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 113.400,00 (€ 13.799,94) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Erik Parker erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Big Time im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.654.000,00 (€ 433.808,22).
