Despite a disappointment, a good price for Erik Jönsson
When the work Katedralen i Chartres by Erik Jönsson was auctioned at Bukowski in Stockholm in October 2009, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of SEK 12,000.00 – 15,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for SEK 8,000.00 (€ 768.82). Despite this disappointing result, Katedralen i Chartres is the most expensive artwork by Erik Jönsson that we have observed at auction so far.
Trotz Enttäuschung ein guter Preis für Erik Jönsson
Als die Arbeit Katedralen i Chartres von Erik Jönsson im Oktober 2009 bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von SEK 12.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für SEK 8.000,00 (€ 768,82) den Besitzer. Trotz dieses enttäuschenden Ergebnisses ist Katedralen i Chartres das teuerste Kunstwerk von Erik Jönsson, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
