Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Marine Observation Post by Eric Ravilious was auctioned at Sothebys in London in July 2020. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 25,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 27,500.00 (€ 30,674.15). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Eric Ravilious achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Aldeburgh Bathing Machines in November 2016 with an auction result of GBP 269,000.00 (€ 317,393.55).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Marine Observation Post von Eric Ravilious kam im Juli 2020 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 25.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 27.500,00 (€ 30.674,15) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Eric Ravilious erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Aldeburgh Bathing Machines im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 269.000,00 (€ 317.393,55).
