Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2015 Christies in London held the auction Modern British and Irish Art Day Sale, which included the work T.E. Lawrence by Eric Kennington. The price achieved of GBP 18,750.00 (€ 26,706.59) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Eric Kennington - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Trees at the Somme, which sold at auction in October 2007 for GBP 50,900.00 (€ 73,095.75).
