Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Heart of England; Homage to Richard Hillary by Eric Kennington was sold in the Modern British Art Day Sale auction at Christies in London in November 2018. The price achieved of GBP 37,500.00 (€ 42,298.86) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Other works by Eric Kennington have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in October 2007 the work Trees at the Somme was auctioned for GBP 50,900.00 (€ 73,095.75).
