Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work The dance by Eric Grate was auctioned at Bukowski in Stockholm in June 2020, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of SEK 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for SEK 5,300.00 (€ 506.83). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Eric Grate achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work "Silvatica" in December 2012 with an auction result of SEK 1,600,000.00 (€ 186,379.49).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit The dance von Eric Grate im Juni 2020 bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von SEK 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für SEK 5.300,00 (€ 506,83) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Eric Grate erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit "Silvatica" im Dezember 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SEK 1.600.000,00 (€ 186.379,49).
