Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2010 a collector was able to acquire the work Wonderful Lies by Enrique Martinez Celaya for USD 6,875.00 (€ 5,054.78). This price was achieved in the auction Selected Works from the Neuberger Berman and Lehman Brothers Corporate Art Collections at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Enrique Martinez Celaya have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Beautiful Life in May 2007 with an auction result of USD 60,000.00 (€ 44,599.72).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September 2010 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Wonderful Lies von Enrique Martinez Celaya für USD 6.875,00 (€ 5.054,78) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Selected Works from the Neuberger Berman and Lehman Brothers Corporate Art Collections bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Enrique Martinez Celaya auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Beautiful Life im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 60.000,00 (€ 44.599,72).
