In May 2013 Christies in New York held the auction Latin American Art, which included the work Spoken For (The Merciful) by Enrique Martinez Celaya. The »bidding war« ended at USD 40,000.00 (€ 30,797.66), 60% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Enrique Martinez Celaya; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Beautiful Life sold at auction in May 2007 with the realized price of USD 60,000.00 (€ 44,599.72).

Im Mai 2013 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Latin American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Spoken For (The Merciful) von Enrique Martinez Celaya zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 40.000,00 (€ 30.797,66) und damit 60% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Enrique Martinez Celaya; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Beautiful Life im Mai 2007 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 60.000,00 (€ 44.599,72).
