Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Sin Título by Enio Iommi was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in November 2008, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 22,500.00 (€ 17,724.91). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Enio Iommi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled, 1949 (from the 'Interrupted Continuity' series, which sold at auction in July 2010 for GBP 32,450.00 (€ 39,017.47).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Sin Título von Enio Iommi im November 2008 bei Sothebys in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 22.500,00 (€ 17.724,91) den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Enio Iommi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled, 1949 (from the 'Interrupted Continuity' series beobachtet, die im Juli 2010 für GBP 32.450,00 (€ 39.017,47) versteigert wurde.
