Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Sin Título by Enio Iommi was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in May 2008, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 35,000.00 – 50,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 34,000.00 (€ 21,850.90). Other works by Enio Iommi have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in July 2010 by the work Untitled, 1949 (from the 'Interrupted Continuity' series at GBP 32,450.00 (€ 39,017.47).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Sin Título von Enio Iommi im Mai 2008 bei Sothebys in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 35.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 34.000,00 (€ 21.850,90) den Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Enio Iommi wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im Juli 2010 die Arbeit Untitled, 1949 (from the 'Interrupted Continuity' series mit GBP 32.450,00 (€ 39.017,47).
