Auction result misses estimated price range
In March this year a collector was able to acquire the work Alien Astronauts from the series Romantic Archeology by En Iwamura for USD 7,620.00 (€ 7,008.83). This price was achieved in the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art: Online Auction at Phillips and was even below the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by En Iwamura achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Neo-Jomon: Wild Hair (After Quarantine) in May last year with an auction result of USD 81,900.00 (€ 76,320.94).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Alien Astronauts from the series Romantic Archeology von En Iwamura für USD 7.620,00 (€ 7.008,83) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art: Online Auction bei Phillips erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von En Iwamura erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Neo-Jomon: Wild Hair (After Quarantine) im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 81.900,00 (€ 76.320,94).
