The work Calligraphy by Emperor Kangxi was sold in the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2008. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 487,500.00 (€ 40,134.16), 63% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Emperor Kangxi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Calligraphy In Running Script in October 2018 with an auction result of HKD 3,068,000.00 (€ 345,461.35).

Die Arbeit Calligraphy von Emperor Kangxi wurde im Mai 2008 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 487.500,00 (€ 40.134,16) und damit 63% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Emperor Kangxi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Calligraphy In Running Script im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.068.000,00 (€ 345.461,35).
