The work Calligraphy Couplet by Emperor Kangxi was sold in the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction at Christies in Paris in June this year. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 529,200.00 (€ 61,836.92), 32% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Emperor Kangxi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Calligraphy In Running Script in October 2018 with an auction result of HKD 3,068,000.00 (€ 345,461.35).

Die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet von Emperor Kangxi wurde im Juni diesen Jahres in der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy bei Christies in Paris versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 529.200,00 (€ 61.836,92) und damit 32% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Emperor Kangxi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Calligraphy In Running Script im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.068.000,00 (€ 345.461,35).
