This artwork by Emperor Kangxi achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in September 2017. In the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy auction, the work Poem In Running Script sold for USD 324,500.00 (€ 274,697.37) - well above the upper estimate of USD 150,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Emperor Kangxi; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Calligraphy In Running Script sold at auction in October 2018 with the realized price of HKD 3,068,000.00 (€ 345,461.35).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Emperor Kangxi erzielte im September 2017 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Poem In Running Script für USD 324.500,00 (€ 274.697,37) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 150.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Emperor Kangxi; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Calligraphy In Running Script im Oktober 2018 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 3.068.000,00 (€ 345.461,35).
