A top price for Emma Sergeant
In March last year Christies in London held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included the work The Afghan by Emma Sergeant. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 15,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 16,380.00 (€ 19,420.33). With this result, The Afghan is even the most expensive work of art by Emma Sergeant that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im März letzten Jahres führte Christies in London die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Afghan von Emma Sergeant zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 15.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 16.380,00 (€ 19.420,33) einen neuen Besitzer.
