This artwork by Emma Fordyce MacRae achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in June 2000. In the American Paintings auction, the work Anemonies and Freesia sold for USD 7,637.50 (€ 8,001.57) - well above the upper estimate of USD 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Emma Fordyce MacRae - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work New England, Rockport Beach, which sold at auction in September 2008 for USD 23,750.00 (€ 16,866.70).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Emma Fordyce MacRae erzielte im Juni 2000 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion American Paintings wurde die Arbeit Anemonies and Freesia für USD 7.637,50 (€ 8.001,57) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 3.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Emma Fordyce MacRae mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit New England, Rockport Beach beobachtet, die im September 2008 für USD 23.750,00 (€ 16.866,70) versteigert wurde.
