Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Emily Mason was auctioned at Phillips in New York in September this year. The price achieved of USD 10,795.00 (€ 10,199.36) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Emily Mason have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Like Frost Upon a Glass in November last year with an auction result of USD 100,800.00 (€ 97,646.03).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Emily Mason kam im September diesen Jahres bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 10.795,00 (€ 10.199,36) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Emily Mason auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Like Frost Upon a Glass im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 100.800,00 (€ 97.646,03).
