Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Greek ships By Moonlight by Emilios Prosalentis was auctioned at Sothebys in London in November 2011. The price achieved of GBP 6,875.00 (€ 8,025.86) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Emilios Prosalentis have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Greek Greek Vessels On Choppy Waters in April 2008 with an auction result of GBP 58,100.00 (€ 74,069.29).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Greek ships By Moonlight von Emilios Prosalentis kam im November 2011 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 6.875,00 (€ 8.025,86) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Emilios Prosalentis auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Greek Greek Vessels On Choppy Waters im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 58.100,00 (€ 74.069,29).
