Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Greek Sailing On Calm Waters; Rowing Ashore by Emilios Prosalentis was sold in the British and Continental Pictures auction at Sothebys in London in March 2008. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,500.00 (€ 4,396.87) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Emilios Prosalentis achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Greek Greek Vessels On Choppy Waters in April 2008 with an auction result of GBP 58,100.00 (€ 74,069.29).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Greek Sailing On Calm Waters; Rowing Ashore von Emilios Prosalentis wurde im März 2008 in der Auktion British and Continental Pictures bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 3.500,00 (€ 4.396,87) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Emilios Prosalentis erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Greek Greek Vessels On Choppy Waters im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 58.100,00 (€ 74.069,29).
