Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Greek A Full-Rigged Ship by Emilios Prosalentis was sold in the The Greek Sale auction at Sothebys in London in November 2007. The price achieved of GBP 12,500.00 (€ 17,503.23) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Emilios Prosalentis have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Greek Greek Vessels On Choppy Waters in April 2008 with an auction result of GBP 58,100.00 (€ 74,069.29).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Greek A Full-Rigged Ship von Emilios Prosalentis wurde im November 2007 in der Auktion The Greek Sale bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 12.500,00 (€ 17.503,23) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Emilios Prosalentis auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Greek Greek Vessels On Choppy Waters im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 58.100,00 (€ 74.069,29).
