It achieved a price of USD 235,500.00 (€ 222,631.88), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 57%. Admittedly, works by Emiliano di Cavalcanti have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Reclining Nude With Fish And Fruit in November 2017 with an auction result of USD 1,575,000.00 (€ 1,323,751.89).

Die Arbeit Mulatta on the Beach von Emiliano di Cavalcanti kam im November 2016 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 235.500,00 (€ 222.631,88) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 57%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Emiliano di Cavalcanti auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Reclining Nude With Fish And Fruit im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.575.000,00 (€ 1.323.751,89).
