Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of USD 48,000.00 (€ 35,139.09) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Admittedly, works by Émile-Louis Picault have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Priest And The Scribe in April 2020 with an auction result of GBP 125,000.00 (€ 143,792.79).
