Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2007 Christies in New York held the auction 19th Century European Art and Orientalist Art, which included the work An Egyptian Scribe by Émile-Louis Picault. It changed hands for a price of USD 46,600.00 (€ 32,209.01) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Émile-Louis Picault have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Priest And The Scribe in April 2020 with an auction result of GBP 125,000.00 (€ 143,792.79).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2007 führte Christies in New York die Auktion 19th Century European Art and Orientalist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit An Egyptian Scribe von Émile-Louis Picault zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 46.600,00 (€ 32.209,01) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Émile-Louis Picault auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Priest And The Scribe im April 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 125.000,00 (€ 143.792,79).
