This work of art by Emanuel Thomas Peter could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in May last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Master Paintings and Drawings Part II auction, the work Portrait of a Young Lady in Pink changed hands for USD 378.00 (€ 352.25) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 400.00 – 600.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Emanuel Thomas Peter achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A young lady, in white dress with blue ribbons at corsage, waist and tied in bows on her right sleeve, her shoulders draped with white gauze veil, wearing a black ribbon around her neck tied at centre and set with a gold brooch, sapphire earring, gol in November 2007 with an auction result of GBP 10,000.00 (€
