Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Portrait Of A Lady by Emanuel Thomas Peter was auctioned at Sothebys in London in April 2021, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 756.00 (€ 869.62). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Emanuel Thomas Peter achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A young lady, in white dress with blue ribbons at corsage, waist and tied in bows on her right sleeve, her shoulders draped with white gauze veil, wearing a black ribbon around her neck tied at centre and set with a gold brooch, sapphire earring, gol in November 2007 with an auction result of GBP 10,000.00 (€
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Portrait Of A Lady von Emanuel Thomas Peter im April 2021 bei Sothebys in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 756,00 (€ 869,62) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Emanuel Thomas Peter erzielen.
