Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2007 a collector was able to acquire the work Australian The Days Work Done by Emanuel Phillips Fox for AUD 28,800.00 (€ 17,349.02). This price was achieved in the auction Important Australian Art at Sothebys in Sydney and was even below the estimate range of AUD 30,000.00 – 45,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Emanuel Phillips Fox achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Australian The Cabbage Patch in May 2007 with an auction result of AUD 288,000.00 (€ 177,085.85).
