In the Important Australian Art auction, the work Australian Arab Market Place sold for AUD 33,600.00 (€ 20,488.52) - well above the upper estimate of AUD 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Emanuel Phillips Fox have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Australian The Cabbage Patch in May 2007 with an auction result of AUD 288,000.00 (€ 177,085.85).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Emanuel Phillips Fox erzielte im November 2009 bei Sothebys in Melbourne einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Important Australian Art wurde die Arbeit Australian Arab Market Place für AUD 33.600,00 (€ 20.488,52) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von AUD 15.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Emanuel Phillips Fox auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Australian The Cabbage Patch im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 288.000,00 (€ 177.085,85).
