Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

It achieved a price of EUR 37,000.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 23 %. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Emanuel de Witte achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Interior of the Oude Kerk, Amsterdam, with a trompe l'oeil curtain and frame in December 2021 with an auction result of GBP 500,000.00 (€ 596,395.12).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Interior of the Oude Kerk in Delft von Emanuel de Witte kam im November 2011 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 37.000,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 23 %. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Emanuel de Witte erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Interior of the Oude Kerk, Amsterdam, with a trompe l'oeil curtain and frame im Dezember 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 500.000,00 (€ 596.395,12).
