Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Emanuel de Witte achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in June 2017. In the Master Paintings auction, the work Interior Of A Catholic Church sold for USD 52,500.00 (€ 46,008.24) - well above the upper estimate of USD 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Emanuel de Witte achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Interior of the Oude Kerk, Amsterdam, with a trompe l'oeil curtain and frame in December 2021 with an auction result of GBP 500,000.00 (€ 596,395.12).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Emanuel de Witte erzielte im Juni 2017 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Master Paintings wurde die Arbeit Interior Of A Catholic Church für USD 52.500,00 (€ 46.008,24) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Emanuel de Witte erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Interior of the Oude Kerk, Amsterdam, with a trompe l'oeil curtain and frame im Dezember 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 500.000,00 (€ 596.395,12).
