Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Interior of the Oude Kerk in Delft by Emanuel de Witte was sold in the Master Paintings Part II auction at Sothebys in New York in January 2021. The price achieved of USD 126,000.00 (€ 103,831.89) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Admittedly, works by Emanuel de Witte have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Interior of the Oude Kerk, Amsterdam, with a trompe l'oeil curtain and frame in December 2021 with an auction result of GBP 500,000.00 (€ 596,395.12).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Interior of the Oude Kerk in Delft von Emanuel de Witte wurde im Januar 2021 in der Auktion Master Paintings Part II bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 126.000,00 (€ 103.831,89) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Emanuel de Witte auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Interior of the Oude Kerk, Amsterdam, with a trompe l'oeil curtain and frame im Dezember 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 500.000,00 (€ 596.395,12).
