In October 2007 Christies in Madrid held the auction The Spanish Sale, The Westin Palace Hotel, Madrid, which included the work Barcas en un puerto by Eliseo Meifrén. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 50,650.00 27% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Eliseo Meifrén have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Regatas en el puerto de Barcelona in October 2005 with an auction result of EUR 437,600.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 27 % übertroffen
Im Oktober 2007 führte Christies in Madrid die Auktion The Spanish Sale, The Westin Palace Hotel, Madrid durch, in der auch die Arbeit Barcas en un puerto von Eliseo Meifrén zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 50.650,00 und damit 27% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Eliseo Meifrén auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Regatas en el puerto de Barcelona im Oktober 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 437.600,00.
