Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Portrait of a lady, half-length, as Pandora or Artemisia by Elisabetta Sirani was sold in the Old Masters auction at Christies in New York in October 2016. Here, the upper estimate of USD 20,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 22,500.00 (€ 20,525.45). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Elisabetta Sirani achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portia Wounding Her Thigh in January 2008 with an auction result of USD 505,000.00 (€ 340,273.57).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Portrait of a lady, half-length, as Pandora or Artemisia von Elisabetta Sirani wurde im Oktober 2016 in der Auktion Old Masters bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 20.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 22.500,00 (€ 20.525,45) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Elisabetta Sirani erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portia Wounding Her Thigh im Januar 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 505.000,00 (€ 340.273,57).
