This artwork by Elioth Gruner achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Melbourne in August 2009. In the Important Australian Art auction, the work Australian Silver Sands - Bondi sold for AUD 108,000.00 (€ 63,495.33) - well above the upper estimate of AUD 60,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Elioth Gruner; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Australian Mingoola Valley sold at auction in May 2007 with the realized price of AUD 150,000.00 (€ 92,232.22).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Elioth Gruner erzielte im August 2009 bei Sothebys in Melbourne einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Important Australian Art wurde die Arbeit Australian Silver Sands - Bondi für AUD 108.000,00 (€ 63.495,33) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von AUD 60.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Elioth Gruner; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Australian Mingoola Valley im Mai 2007 mit dem Hammerpreis von AUD 150.000,00 (€ 92.232,22).
