Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2001 Christies in London held the auction BRITISH & CONTINENTAL WATERCOLOURS,DRAWINGS & ILLUSTRATIONS, which included the work Feluccas On The Nile At Sunset by Elijah Walton. The price achieved of GBP 587.50 (€ 975.95) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 500.00 – 700.00. Admittedly, works by Elijah Walton have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 'Returning to Sinai - A Sketch in the Desert' in February 2021 with an auction result of GBP 3,825.00 (€ 4,411.42).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 587,50 (€ 975,95) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 500,00 – 700,00 angegeben worden.
