Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In September this year Bonhams in London held the auction British and European Art Online, which included the work The mountains of Hindo as seen from Melbo, Lofoten by Elijah Walton. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 512.00 (€ 512.00). Admittedly, works by Elijah Walton have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 'Returning to Sinai - A Sketch in the Desert' in February 2021 with an auction result of GBP 3,825.00 (€ 4,411.42).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im September diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion British and European Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit The mountains of Hindo as seen from Melbo, Lofoten von Elijah Walton zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 512,00 (€ 512,00) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Elijah Walton auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit 'Returning to Sinai - A Sketch in the Desert' im Februar 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.825,00 (€ 4.411,42).
