Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Cielo by Elica Balla was auctioned at Christies in Milan in May 2007, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 1,200.00 – 1,800.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 992.00. Other works by Elica Balla have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in November 2011 by the work Lotto di due opere: a) Transito di luce firmato Elica Balla (in basso a sinistra); firma, data e titolo Elica Balla 1974 Transito di luce (sul retro) olio su tela cm 139x58,5 Eseguito nel 1974 b) Giardino del lago firmato Elica Balla (in basso a dest at EUR 1,300.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Cielo von Elica Balla im Mai 2007 bei Christies in Mailand versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 1.200,00 – 1.800,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 992,00 den Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Elica Balla wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im November 2011 die Arbeit Lotto di due opere: a) Transito di luce firmato Elica Balla (in basso a sinistra); firma, data e titolo Elica Balla 1974 Transito di luce (sul retro) olio su tela cm 139x58,5 Eseguito nel 1974 b) Giardino del lago firmato Elica Balla (in basso a dest mit EUR 1.300,00.
