Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2007 Christies in Dubai held the auction International Modern and Contemporary Art, which included this untitled work by Elias Zayat. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 12,000.00 – 16,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 12,500.00 (€ 8,639.76) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Elias Zayat have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Awdat Al Shahid (Return Of The Martyr) in March 2016 with an auction result of USD 50,000.00 (€ 43,898.16).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2007 führte Christies in Dubai die Auktion International Modern and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Elias Zayat zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 12.000,00 – 16.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 12.500,00 (€ 8.639,76) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Elias Zayat auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Awdat Al Shahid (Return Of The Martyr) im März 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 50.000,00 (€ 43.898,16).
