This artwork by Elias Zayat achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Dubai in October 2013. In the Modern and Contemporary Arab,Iranian and Turkish Art Part II auction, the work Dance of the City (Andalucian Theme) sold for USD 40,000.00 (€ 29,424.75) - well above the upper estimate of USD 18,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Elias Zayat; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Awdat Al Shahid (Return Of The Martyr) sold at auction in March 2016 with the realized price of USD 50,000.00 (€ 43,898.16).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Elias Zayat erzielte im Oktober 2013 bei Christies in Dubai einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Arab,Iranian and Turkish Art Part II wurde die Arbeit Dance of the City (Andalucian Theme) für USD 40.000,00 (€ 29.424,75) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 18.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Elias Zayat; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Awdat Al Shahid (Return Of The Martyr) im März 2016 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 50.000,00 (€ 43.898,16).
