Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Elias Zayat was auctioned at Sothebys in London in October 2011. The price achieved of GBP 11,875.00 (€ 13,743.05) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Elias Zayat - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Awdat Al Shahid (Return Of The Martyr), which sold at auction in March 2016 for USD 50,000.00 (€ 43,898.16).

Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Elias Zayat kam im Oktober 2011 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 11.875,00 (€ 13.743,05) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Elias Zayat mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Awdat Al Shahid (Return Of The Martyr) beobachtet, die im März 2016 für USD 50.000,00 (€ 43.898,16) versteigert wurde.
