Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Lancelot And Elaine - "But To Be With You Still And See Your Face, To Serve You And To Follow You Thr'O The World" by Eleanor Fortescue Brickdale was auctioned at Sothebys in Olympia in November 2006, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 4,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 2,040.00 (€ 3,029.46). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Eleanor Fortescue Brickdale achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work And all generations shall call her blessed in December 2020 with an auction result of GBP 40,000.00 (€ 44,683.57).

Als die Arbeit Lancelot And Elaine - "But To Be With You Still And See Your Face, To Serve You And To Follow You Thr'O The World" von Eleanor Fortescue Brickdale im November 2006 bei Sothebys in Olympia versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus.
